2019 Festival Dates Announced

The Midlands RL Youth and Junior group are delighted to announce a series of festivals for the 2019 season. The festivals will be for players at U11 (school years 5 & 6) U13 (yrs 7 & 8) and U15 (yrs 9 & 10). The festivals will reflect the Midlands league long established development ethos; the purpose of these festivals is to provide competitive Rugby League in a safe and positive environment with a focus on individual player development and performance. They will provide a stepping stone towards a lifelong involvement with the sport and physical activity.

The ethos of the competition is based on the following principles:

  • Challenge and competition
  • Inclusivity and engagement
  • Development of team and individual performance

Festivals aim to capture the magic of Rugby League and deliver games that are fun and stimulating to play, whilst promoting skill development and inclusive opportunities.

Festival dates
  • May 19th – hosted by NEW Ravens
  • June 9th – hosted by Nottingham Outlaws
  • June 23rd – hosted by Sherwood Wolf Hunt
  • July 7th – hosted by Telford Raiders

The group welcomes interest from clubs outside the Midlands area (should entry numbers allow). Interested clubs should contact festival co-ordinator Fred Baker
